Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

"I adopted Saki from the Alachua County Rescue League when I was attending college at the University of Florida . He was the smartest, sweetest cat I’ve ever met. He would wait for me at the door, come when called, sleep with me every night, could open doors and even sit on command! After a long and difficult process trying to find out why he was sick, we discovered that he had intestinal lymphoma (cancer of the intestines/stomach). He was with me for 14 wonderful but too short years. I miss him dearly and can only hope to be reunited with him one day. Please post this photo to let others know how much joy an adopted friend can bring to their lives."

Ralphie was my four-legged child, love wrapped in beautiful gold and silver fur...lived to be 18 1/2 years old and left us on May 31, 2005 so he could be young and healthy again...he's not ever gone, just moved on....just a breath away from us.  From Maria.

In honor of O'Malley, with love from George and Annette Black of Juno Beach, FL.

Sebas

This is my Sebastian.  I got him the end of my freshman year of college.  Someone had thrown him and his sisters away in a dumpster.  I had him for 12 years and he was my best friend.  He slept next to me every night, traveled back and forth to college with me, and was there for all of the ups and downs of the past 12 years.  He died May 10, 2005 from kidney failure.

Just for an instant, he's there. Jamie was one of our 9 cats and all of
