Description:
Newman was named after the idea that he is a "new man" compared to his early life and original name, which wasn't so nice. He was saved by a wonderful family that had him for a year, but could no longer keep him because he would chase their livestock. He's been with us since March 2007. When all the other dogs are all barking for attention, Newman just observes the person walking by, remaining calm, in peaceful silence. Newman can not see perfectly, due to early neglect, so at times he may bump into things if he is not paying attention. He is calm, does not jump on people, and walks great on lead. His favorite passtime is snuggling with people, belly rubs, and rolling in the grass. Do not let his good looks fool you...he is a big and beautiful gentle soul with lots of love to give.
