The 23rd Annual Celebrity Dog Wash & Band Aid Festival

Volunteer Information:

With Carlin Park's beautiful new amphitheater complete and Safe Harbor finally recovering from a devastating fire last March, this year’s event is very important and it will take all of us to make it a success!

It takes over 250 volunteers to make this event that we so greatly depend on for income, happen every year.

The monies raised then go to support our charitable hospital, our no-kill shelter and many other programs we present to the community for their pets.

I hope that you enjoy your time spent volunteering at this wonderful event and I would love to get your feedback when it’s over.  Your thoughts and input are important to me.

I’m sure that if we all pull together, give it our best and remember that it’s for the animals everything will be great!!

To make everyone’s job easier, please upon arriving in your booth, immediately read the instructions taped to the table.  This way if you should have any questions we can help you before your shift begins.

Please remember one general rule that all volunteers should try and remember.  When you are volunteering for Safe Harbor you are considered a representative of the organization.  Please try to smile and always be pleasant.  If someone should give you a hard time or harass you, please refer to our contact list and we will be more than happy to assist you. It is unfortunate, but when people get upset with staff or volunteers, it’s the animals that suffer by that person withdrawing their support of Safe Harbor.

Again, thank you so much!  Have a great time at the Dog Wash and I hope that you will continue to volunteer for other events throughout the year.  Please refer to the website for volunteer information and updates on the Dog Wash.
